What does pe system mean?

The so-called PE system is an emergency backup system when the computer has a problem and cannot enter the normal system. Generally, you can't enter the PE system when you start up normally. We need to manually change the order of BIOS startup and set the PE boot as the priority boot item.

How to enter the pe system

Insert the USB flash drive into the USB jack on the laptop and turn it on. When you see the boot screen, press the shortcut key F12 or F2 continuously to enter the startup item sequence selection window. Move the cursor to the selected option to display USB, select, press Enter to enter pe.

Put the system disk into the optical drive. After starting the computer, press the F12 key to display the following interface. Select the optical drive in the interface, and then press the Enter key to confirm. After the following screen is displayed, click to start the Win PE system. After entering the pe system, click [Install to C disk] on the desktop. Click [OK] on the pop-up interface.

PE system is the backup system in our computer. When there is a problem with our main system, we can use the PE system to reinstall and restore the main system of the computer. Use the USB flash drive to restore the system. First of all, we need to use the boot USB flash drive making tool or software to make our USB flash drive into a boot USB flash drive.

Make the USB flash drive into a pe boot disk, turn off the power, plug in the USB flash drive, press the power supply, immediately press f12, select usb hdd to enter the USB flash drive pe option.

First of all, we insert the USB flash drive into the computer. When the startup screen of the computer appears, press the power-on button. Then, in the prompt box that appears, we select the USB flash drive to start, and then we will enter the USB flash drive system mirror interface.

How to see if there is a PE system in the USB flash drive?

Look at if there are any hidden pe files in the USB flash drive. If there is, it may be possible to start pe. If not, proceed to the next step. Right-click on My Computer, click Management, Disk Management, and Figure 4 will pop up.

Just find a system image on the Internet and put it in the USB flash drive. Unzip it to the hard disk when installing. If it's someone else's USB flash drive, just ask that person directly. The PE system of the USB flash drive is generally installed in a separate partition in the USB flash drive and hidden after installation.

Use software such as UltraISO! When you use UltraISO to open the USB disk partition, you can see the boot partition! There will be startup files and winPE files in it.

The boot disk production tool has an option to simulate startup. After the production is completed, you can use this to test whether the production is successful, as shown in the figure below: Of course, the most effective way is to set up the USB disk to start in the BIOS, and then start the computer with the USB disk for comprehensive testing of PE and other aspects.
